Shipping Charges

All shipping priced based on the point of origin unless otherwise specified. Wherever appropriate we may ship UPS. Overnight and other special shipments must be cleared in advance with our customer service representatives. Unless you specify otherwise, we will always ship “best way”. You are responsible for all shipping charges assessed by the shipping carrier.

If an item is back-ordered, it will be shipped when it becomes available, unless otherwise specified.

You may request shipment via your own freight carrier. When you request a different freight carrier all products ordered will be shipped freight collect. You are responsible for all charges from your freight carrier. Your freight carrier will bill you for the cost of shipping according to their terms of service.

Shipping Estimates

Shipping Quotes are estimates and should be used for budgetary purposes only. Actual shipping charges are not determined until the order is shipped.

International Shipments

We do not currently ship outside of the United States but can make arrangements with your freight forwarded at your request.

Loading Dock & Receiving Arrangements

The buyer is responsible for receiving and unloading the delivery at your facility.

If you have special delivery requirements, you must let us know when you place the order and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Special shipping/receiving requirements may be subject to additional fees above and beyond the shipping quote.  Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have about shipping and delivery.

Providing inaccurate shipping information will result in an inaccurate freight quote and may incur additional shipping fees. Final determination of what shipping options and charges are required to complete the delivery will be determined by the shipping carrier.

It is your responsibility to notify us regarding any special shipping/receiving accommodations.  If you neglect to fill out the designated section when completing your purchase, you must notify us immediately before the end of the day that you placed the order. Call 800-442-3061. W.W. Cannon will not be responsible, if you neglect to notify us of any special accommodations prior to your order being shipped.

Shipping/Handling charges are based on a standard dock-to-dock delivery. Accessorial options including, but not limited to; lift gate delivery, military/limited access delivery, construction site delivery, or inside delivery are not included.

Some questions we ask prior to requesting shipment include:

  • Do you need a shipping notification?
  • Is this a commercial location?
  • Do you have a standard loading dock?
    • If no, do you have a forklift to receive the shipment?
    • If no, do you require a lift gate on the delivery truck?
    • If no, do you have proper door space to receive the order?
  • Will you need additional assistance with unloading?
    • If yes, do you have a pallet jack or forklift?
    • If yes, will you need inside delivery?
    • If yes, is the destination on the ground floor?
      • If no, do you have a freight elevator?

Damaged Shipments

Please inspect your shipment before accepting delivery. If it shows any external damage, accept it only after the driver has noted the damage on both his and your copies of the delivery receipt. Do not sign the delivery receipt unless this is noted. Keep all containers and packing material for inspection.

If, upon opening a shipment, you find a shortage or concealed damage, it must be reported within 72 hours from receipt of goods or you will relinquish your right to make a claim.

The buyer is responsible for making the damage claim directly and promptly to the carrier. W.W. Cannon’s responsibility for loss and damage ceases when the products are accepted for shipment by the carrier.
